Playlist Management

A playlist is just a sequential ordering of media. It allows you to organize your music, video, and PowerPoint presentations in the correct order for your show. You are not limited to the amount of playlists you can have nor to their size. Your playlist is element #2 and the playlist edit buttons are element #3.

Playlists are treated just like any file in any editing software that you can open / save / rename and so on.

1) Playlist Menu

The playlist menu is in the menu bar (element #4). It has the following options: "New", "Open", "Save", "Save As", and "Print". Most of these are self explanatory and perform just like any other piece of software. The Print function will print your playlist with the title (the name of the playlist) at the top and a numbered listing of each track. The menu looks like this:

2) Adding Media

Adding media to your playlist is very easy. Simply double-click on a media item in your library (element #1) and the media will be added to the open playlist. For ease of use, the media will be added UNDER the currently selected media in your playlist window, or to the end if no selection exists. For example, if you have a playlist that contains three media items and you have the first selected, the added media will be inserted between the first and the second.

Note: To deselect in the playlist simply click in the empty space of the playlist of press the "ESC" key.

3) Editing

To edit a playlist, you will need to use the playlist edit buttons (element #3). These buttons operate on the currently selected media in the playlist. The up and down arrows will move the selected media upwards and downwards in the playlist respectably. The "scissors" button will remove the selected item from the playlist.

Note: As a shortcut, you can delete the selected item by pressing the "DELETE" key.

Note: Do not forget to save your playlist if you have made changes you would like to keep!

4) Playback

You can enter Playback Mode for any playlist, even if it has not yet been saved. To do this, simply click the "Play Playlist" button underneath the playlist element (#2).
