Library Setup

1) Adding Items
Adding items to the playlist is accomplished by selecting File -> Import To Library. This will bring up a dialog that will allow you to select all of your files. Once your files have been selected press "Open" in the dialog and the selected files will be copied to your library.
The files will be added under your current selection in the library. For example if your current selection in your library is a folder called "Audio", every file will be placed within this folder. If you have a non-folder selected every file will be placed within the same folder as the selected item. Lastly, by default if nothing is selected all files are placed within the library not under any folder.
Note: Currently, MediaStar supports the following extensions - MP3, WAV, MPG, MPEG, AVI, and PPT.
Note: Your MediaStar library is stored in MyDocuments, in the MediaStar folder.
2) Moving Items
Moving items within your library is very simple. Simply drag the item you want to move into the desired directory, or to a different item within the directory. To move items into the root of your library simply drop the item into the empty space below the last item or into and item that is already in the root of the library.
3) Right Click Menu
Right clicking on any item within the library will produce this menu.
3.1) New Folder
The New Folder option will allow you to create a new folder. If the selected item is a folder, the new folder will be created within it. On the other hand, if the selected item is not a folder, the new folder will be created in the same directory. This option is available regardless if the right-click was on an item or not.
3.2) Delete / Rename / Cut / Copy
These options work in the same manner as their windows counterparts.
Note: Rename will only allow you to change the name of the item and not its extension.
Note: The Copy option is not available for folders.
3.3) Paste
Once an item has been Cut or Copied, the Paste option will be enabled in the right click menu and will paste the cut or copied items into the desired location.
3.4) Advanced
The Advanced option will open the Advanced Options window for the selected item.
Note: Only media files that are audio or video have this option.
